Completed AI projects:

We built a machine learning model to forecast daily sales for over 50 stores of a major grocery retailer in Ecuador.
Using Python and time series techniques, we:

• Merged 6 large datasets (sales, holidays, oil prices, promotions, etc.) 
• Applied models including random forest, elastic net, and linear regression 
• Identified seasonal trends, top-performing product categories, and store-level insights 
• Achieved strong predictive accuracy with Random Forest (R² ≈ 0.88) 

This helped inform stocking strategies and promotional planning based on forecasted demand.

We built classification models to predict corporate bankruptcy using financial ratios and company performance indicators.

What we did:

• Conducted exploratory data analysis on a highly imbalanced dataset (only ~3% bankrupt) 
• Applied SMOTE resampling to address class imbalance 
• Built and compared multiple models: Logistic Regression, SVM, Naïve Bayes, Random Forest, XGBoost, Extra Trees, and Gradient Boosting 
• Tuned hyperparameters using RandomizedSearchCV for optimal model fit 
• Evaluated models with F1-score, precision/recall, and ROC curves 

Result:
Our Extra Trees model delivered the best F1-score, offering an efficient solution for high-volume risk prediction tasks.
